Wan 3.0

COMING SOON

Wan 3.0 is the next generation of Alibaba's Tongyi Wanxiang video model, announced on August 6, 2026. It renders up to 30 seconds in a single pass at 480p, 720p or 1080p, generates audio by default, and takes what Alibaba calls omni-reference input: up to ten images, five clips and five audio files, plus one document or link — a PDF, a slide deck, a spreadsheet — turned straight into video. Its API has not opened to platforms like PixRoute yet. This page is where it will run the day it does; until then, leave your email below, or run Wan 2.7 — same maker, same three modes, live now.

Wan 3.0

30s TakesWith Audio1080p

Alibaba’s Wan 3.0: 30-second single takes, omni-reference input, 480p–1080p. Coming soon.

Wan 3.0 output will render here once it’s live.

Key Features of Wan 3.0

What has been announced so far — and what you can run while you wait.

Thirty seconds in one take

One continuous shot of up to 30 seconds, against the 15-second ceiling of Wan 2.7 and the five to ten most models stop at. Alibaba frames it as room for a full camera move with a beginning, a middle and an end, rather than a clip that cuts.

Omni-reference input

Text, stills, video and audio in one request: up to 10 images, 5 clips and 5 audio files, with first and last frames as dedicated slots. Input clips and the output together are capped at 30 seconds.

Video from a document

The first major video model that reads a file. A PDF, a PowerPoint, a spreadsheet, a Markdown note or a web link — one per run, up to 100MB or 50 pages — becomes the brief the shot is generated from.

Reality-grade rendering

Alibaba's own term for the step up in physical coherence and texture over Wan 2.7, which already sits in the Artificial Analysis top ten. Alibaba also says audio texture and on-screen text are still improving; we will measure both the day we get access.

480p to 1080p, audio by default

Three output tiers and no 4K. Alibaba's API list price is $0.05, $0.10 and $0.20 per second. Sound is generated with the picture unless you switch it off or supply your own track.

What you can run today

Wan 2.7 is live on PixRoute in the same three modes — text, image and reference to video — at 24 credits a second at 720p, with generated music and 15-second takes. Same picker, same credits: you switch to Wan 3.0 from the same form the day it lands.

Wan 3.0 FAQ

What is Wan 3.0?+

Wan 3.0 (written Wan3.0 by Alibaba) is Alibaba Tongyi Lab's third-generation video model, announced on August 6, 2026. Its three headline claims are 30-second single-pass generation, what Alibaba calls reality-grade rendering, and omni-reference input — text, images, audio, video and documents in one request.

When can I use Wan 3.0 on PixRoute?+

As soon as its API opens to the platform PixRoute runs on. Alibaba says broader API access is coming; fal.ai, which runs every model on PixRoute, lists Wan 2.7 but not yet 3.0 (checked August 21, 2026). Leave your email in the form above and you get one message the day it is live — nothing else.

How much will Wan 3.0 cost?+

Alibaba's published API rate is $0.05 per second at 480p, $0.10 at 720p and $0.20 at 1080p — a 30-second 1080p take is $6 upstream. PixRoute's credit price is set from the rate we actually pay on launch day, under the same rule as every other model here; Wan 2.7 at 24 credits a second at 720p is the closest comparison. We do not publish a number before we have verified the bill.

Is Wan 3.0 open source?+

No. As of August 2026 it is API-only, with no weights on Hugging Face or GitHub. Wan 2.2 from July 2025 remains the last open-weight flagship of the series, and Alibaba has not said whether 3.0 will follow it.

What is new compared with Wan 2.7?+

Length (30 seconds against 15), input (documents and audio references, five clips against three, all in one request) and rendering quality. Both top out at 1080p, and 720p costs the same upstream; 1080p is a third more. Wan 2.7 is already in the Artificial Analysis top ten, so the question at launch is whether the longer take and the richer input are worth that third.

Can Wan 3.0 make a video from a PDF or a slide deck?+

Upstream, yes: one file or link per run — doc, xls, ppt, pdf, txt, key, pages, numbers or md, up to 100MB or 50 pages — becomes the brief. PixRoute will wire text, image and reference to video first, the three modes Wan 2.7 already runs in; document input is a separate upload path we will add once we have measured how it behaves.

Does Wan 3.0 support 4K?+

No. The tiers are 480p, 720p and 1080p. For a 4K master, run the AI Video Upscaler on the 1080p output — that is already how Wan 2.7 clips get to 4K on PixRoute.
